Technically, Carnaval lasted well into Day 3 for all of us. The result is that none of us woke up early, and when we finally did wake up we weren’t moving very fast. Still, our spirits were high!

Unfortunately, not all the fatigue came from revelry and jet lag. Although we did not know it at the time, Cata was in the process of coming down with the flu.

In the end, we rested most of the day, and not much of anything happened. After all, we had packed plenty into the day before. Toward the end of the day, Diego and I took a short drive through Santa Cruz. The views of the city were rejuvenating!

We went to bed relatively early, as tomorrow we would be heading off on new adventures.
